Yoga Guided Meditation with Breath Work

EXERCISE Your Mind.

Emotion is key. You must feel happy, excited and be in the moment to receive more. How do you get there? The feeling of gratitude to have a job, a home, to be alive is the key. If you complain you will tie yourself to your complaint. I have a friend who plays the slot machines and always wins. I watched her just play and enjoy herself. She laughs, giggles, taps the machine and pets it like its alive. On the other side of the spectrum, I have watched people spiral out of control over frivolous situations. If you could put your attitude in check, would you do it? Or do you choose to stay where you are?

I used to have the worst anxiety, to the point where I ended up in the E.R. because I could not breathe. This is the worst feeling, my chest hurt and my breathing was constricted. If I could just take a breath this awful spiraling would end. Breath work allows the busy mind to focus on intentional breathing. Remember to do a little every day. One day you will be able to do it longer and it will feel like washing your face.

Once you learn how to control your breathing during a mindful session of breath work then focus on your joy. What do you love? What makes you smile? Find the little things in your life that make you happy. Reading a good novel, enjoying music or taking a ride can elevate your mood just for a few minutes a day. Creating a good habit like this will alter your state of mind just long enough maybe to have gratitude. Finding gratitude in your present moment can create a stream of white light. Allow this white light to help you find your way back into balance.

What are you grateful for? Make a list. Focus on the feeling you get when you think about what your grateful for.
